Swarfix® WCT delivers second operation for CNOOC on UK Continental Shelf
100% of all milling swarf (1615 lbs) was collected and secured downhole, preventing circulation through the well during the operation and eliminating swarf to surface.
The operation was performed as part of whipstock milling in 13 3/8” casing, with the Swarfix® WCT above the HW.
As a result:
• No swarf circulated through the BOP
• No swarf handling by personnel
Thanks to CNOOC International as early adaptor in implementing new and game changing downhole swarf handling technology in whipstock milling operations.
